Accelerated Reader
Reading transports curious minds to wondrous realms of the imagination. It determines success not only in the classroom, but in life. Highly popular and successful, Accelerated Reader (AR) creates enthusiastic readers – while enhancing the teaching experience.
Accelerated Reader is an important component of our reading program at Devon Aire K-8. Each student must read AR books and pass each AR test with an 80% or above. This 9 weeks, each student must have at least 6 AR points for a grade of an A. Please make sure you are reading a book on your reading level and/or are reading in your reading range when you check out a book. Take a look at AR book finder to see if your book is AR:

Melle is reading a captivating AR book called "Are you there God? It's me Margaret" by Judy Blume and she can't put her book down!!! She tells me she reads any free minute she has and let me tell you --- nothing make me more proud or more happy than a VORACIOUS READER.
Kyle loves reading chapter books!
